Alain Dutheil, President and CEO of ST-Ericsson

From August 2008 to February 2009, Mr. Dutheil was CEO of ST-NXP Wireless in addition to his role as COO of STMicroelectronics, focusing exclusively on the joint venture.
Since 2005 Mr. Dutheil has been STMicroelectronics’ COO and Vice Chairman of the Corporate Executive Committee, comprised of ten senior corporate executives. Mr. Dutheil is also the President of STS Microelectronics, the joint venture formed with Shenzhen SEG HiTech Industrial Co. (SHIC) in the People’s Republic of China.
Mr. Dutheil started his career in 1969 with Texas Instruments and joined Thomson Semiconducteurs in 1983 as Plant Manager of the Aix-en Provence factory in France. The French company Thomson Semiconducteurs and the Italian manufacturer SGS Microelettronica then gave birth to the Franco-Italian group SGS-THOMSON Microelectronics (now STMicroelectronics).
Mr. Dutheil became Corporate Vice President of the Company in 1989 and combined the positions of Director of Corporate Human Resources and Director for Worldwide Back-End Manufacturing. In 1994, Dutheil was appointed Corporate Vice President, Strategic Planning, in addition to his position as Corporate Vice President, Human Resources.
Alain Dutheil was born in 1945 in Martigues (France) and is an Engineering graduate from the Ecole Centrale of Marseilles, France.
